CAMP needs your support!
Dear CAMP friends and supporters:
We're gonna be honest with you – we need your support now more than ever. Like so many in this economy, we are feeling the pinch and facing a financial crisis. At the exact time that building community-based solutions to the problems facing us is so important, we are facing the stark reality of an operating deficit.
$25 a month (or $1 or $100, we're not picky) from 100 people would move us from a deficit into an abundance that would allow us to move forward hiring more people with the energy to create programs and continue to build the community space we have worked so hard to get operational over the past 5 years.
If you can support us, please donate today - you can use the paypal links on this page for a monthly donation, or support us with your credit card through networkforgood.

Maybe you've heard rumors about renewed intrigue here at CAMP. While challenges abound, new partnerships have sparked joyful collaboration and we are making regular steps toward laying a strong foundation for the organization to grow and thrive.
The current apartment collective is a soulful motley crue including a master of social work/dog whisperer, a rehabber/actor, a community artist/yogini, an architect/dancing queen, a dumpster-king/rickshaw taxi-driver, three dogs and ten fishies. We are excited about new boundaries (an 8' fence!) and new momentum in creating a vibrant, creative nexus for our community. We welcome renewed support and strategic feedback. If you feel passionate about equitable, sustainable development and green, peaceful solutions on Cherokee Street, we invite you to bring it!
To get involved, come to a collective meeting, jump on the mailing list, or call for a tour. Or visit on a Sunday from 1-4pm to see the bike shop & "Make Space" in action. (Click to see our full wish list....)
Move Night: Fear, Anxiety, and Depression
As part of our new semimonthly film series Krakpotkin's Kamera, we will be screening the very early Tod Solondz comedy Fear, Anxiety, and Depression. Yes, the same Tod Solondz from Welcome to the Dollhouse, Storytelling, and Happiness, only this time Solondz stars in his own film, and sings!

FEAR, ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION, portraying Ira Ellis, an awkward, neurotic playwright. Ira's life is as uncontrollable as his hair. He dumps his steady for an outrageous artist, but the artist drops him before he can even get her phone number, so he seduces another girl who swiftly deserts him. Then, his steady reappears...The film, which hints at the caustic wit displayed in WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE and HAPPINESS, is a strange comedy that owes a debt to Woody Allen.
