Public Zoning Hearing for CAMP!!!
Conditional Use Hearing for CAMP (yes, another one)
Thursday, March 22, 2007, 8:30 AM
City Hall, 1200 Market St., Room 208
We are really close to opening up now! Please help support us in the public zoning hearing!!! You can come to the hearing yourself if you are interested in We organizing events here, or you can mail us letters of support, or contact us if you have further questions.
Below is a sample letter of support, although we would encourage our neighbors to write letters from their own point of view:
Dear Magda Vargo:
I am writing a letter of support for the Community
Art and Media Project's plans for a 1st floor assembly
space with an occupancy of 141 people, including use of
the back yard. Please include no new restrictions over
what the Board of Adjustment decided in December 2005.
I am confident that CAMP's parking arrangements are adequate
and fully consistent with city regulations.
CAMP is a welcome addition to the Cherokee community
and has proven to be a neighborhood asset through
their educational programming and workshops. CAMP has
prioritized serving the existing community in Benton
Park West and Gravois Park. Services and programming
at CAMP are important to the revitalization of our
neighborhood.
For these reasons, we respectfully urge you to support
CAMP in their effort to open the community center as
an assembly space with an occupancy of 141 people and
include the full use of the back yard. These uses are very
important for the successful operation of the
community center.
Sincerely,
John Q. Public
