SECOND: YOU MAY HAVE PROBLEMS USING THIS FORM UNDER FIREFOX OR INTERNET EXPLORER.  SAFARI AND CHROME SHOULD WORK.

The People’s Joy Parade is a grassroots menagerie of crepe paper float makers, home made costume fashionistas, b-boys/girls, midnight minstrels, Gigante puppeteers, art cars, bike brigades, moving installation artists, Elvis impersonators, cardboard bricoleurs, rainbow dancers, knights of St. Louis, drag queens, beat making marching bands, Mexican wrestlers, robot makers, Virgin of Guadalupe’s, and lost members of the Missouri tribe that seeks to recognize the importance of the people who make up a community.

People's Joy Parade 2011 was voted #1 Parade in STL in the Riverfront Times!

The parade will start at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 7th at the intersection of MINNESOTA ST. & CHEROKEE ST. It will head East on CHEROKEE ST. to NEBRASKA ST.
, North on NEBRASKA ST. to UTAH ST., East on UTAH ST. to TEXAS ST., South on TEXAS ST. to CHEROKEE ST., where we will end by the big main stage.

In addition, Parade participants are invited to come on stage in groups immediately after the parade finishes! If this sounds fun to you, let Jenny Callen know at 314-827-1542!

Come join us in an expression of spring time celebration to honor the spirit of community on Cherokee St, our favorite Mexican neighborhood, the neighbors you know and don't know, and the resourceful creations of local artists.

If you're interested in participating in the People’s Joy Parade, please fill out a Parade application. There is a suggested donation of at least $25 per organization or parade participant. Your donation will go towards permits, security, administrative costs.

NOTE: If you will be entering a car into the People's Joy Parade, besides completing this application, please also submit a copy of your driver's license via email to parade@cincodemayostl.com or mail to Cinco De Mayo 3407 S. Jefferson Suite 515, St. Louis, MO 63118.

We encourage you to donate outside of the suggested $25 amount. All donations will go towards compensating artists and parade organizers for their work and will allow smaller organizations and artists to participate in the parade.

Although the spirit and soul of this parade can fit on no budget, we are committed to making the act of parade a recurring phenomenon that slowly morphs our ancient St. Louis streetscape into something unique and hard to describe! We appreciate your donations and Thank you in advance!
