CAMP Events Policy

CAMP HAS MEETING AND EVENT SPACES THAT CAN BE RENTED BY ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS FOR A VARIETY OF USES, WE ENCOURAGE APPLICANTS TO REVIEW THE CAMP MISSION STATEMENT PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR SPACE RENTAL.

Mission: "CAMP empowers creative expression, celebrates interconnection, and promotes healthy living in the Cherokee neighborhood and the world through community projects, classes, meetings, activism and artist residency"


Single Use Events

CAMP spaces are available for single use events such as fundraisers, parties and presentations. All events must have at least one CAMP representative present and follow CAMP EVENT GUIDELINES*. The CAMP Event Coordinator will assist applicants in scheduling and completing the EVENT CONTRACT**. Please plan ahead, EVENT CONTRACTS** must be submitted before the first Tuesday of the month for consideration by the Board!

Procedure for Single Use Events:

1) Check the CAMP Calendar for availability

2) Review Event Packet & Rental Fee

3) Contact CAMP events coordinator

4) Complete & submit Event Packet ** prior to the first Tuesday of the month

5) Upon Board approval, deposit and/or payment is required


Regular Meetings

Various organizations have used the CAMP space as their meeting headquarters. Organizations that applying to hold weekly or monthly meetings at CAMP must complete a GENRAL SPACE USE CONTRACT to be approved by the Board the first Tuesday of the month.

Procedures for Continuing Meetings: 

1) Check the CAMP Calendar for availability

2) Review Event Packet &Rental Fee

3) Contact CAMP events coordinator

4) Complete & submit Event Packet ***prior to the first Tuesday of the month

5) Upon Board approval, deposit and/or payment is required


Classes and Programming

CAMP space is available for use by community educators, community arts classes and various types of classes. Individuals and organizations wishing to hold classes and/or programming are encouraged to consider how their activity fits within the mission of CAMP prior to submitting their proposal. Individuals and organizations holing classes and programing are strongly encouraged to consider becoming a CAMP collective member.

Procedure for Classes and Programming

1) Check the CAMP Calendar for availibility

2) Review Event packet & Rental Fee

3) Contact CAMP Coordinator

4) Create  & submit Program Proposal **prior to the first Tuesday of the month

5) Complete and submit Event Packet. 

6) (Optional) Attend CAMP business meeting to represent proposal to Board.

7) (Optional) Sign up to become a CAMP collective member for a discounted rate

8) Upon Board approval and required payment/deposit, a key will be issued
