Affordable Coop Housing
Since 2004, CAMP has had an affordable housing cooperative on the 2nd floor. The apartments have below market rents for low-income people who participate in the operation of CAMP. CAMP residents learn leadership and organizational skills while participating in the operation and running of CAMP programming. These apartments are run collectively through meetings based on consensus. Most recently we have established an Artist in Residence program and an Activist in Residence program in the coop housing that acts as an internship program for residents to participate in all aspects of CAMP from art to bikes to permaculture demonstration garden, foodshare, organizing, publishing, zine library and other events.
